Professional Organization:

 

AOTA (The American Occupational Therapy Association) is the professional organization for occupational therapists, representing more than 213,000 occupational therapy practitioners and students in the United States. AOTA works to advance the quality, availability, use, and support of occupational therapy through standard-setting, advocacy, education, and research on behalf of its members and the public.

 

Other professional organizations include: the American OT Association LGBTQ Network, the Asian/Pacific Heritage Occupational Therapy Association (APHOTA), the National Black Occupational Therapy Caucus (NBOTC), the Occupational Therapy Network for Native Americans (OTNA), and the Terapia Ocupacional para Diversidad Oportunidad y Solidaridad (TODOS) Network of Hispanic Practitioners.
