CPHA Committees

The Student Pre-Health Committee (SPHC)

Student leaders who planned and facilitated the Health Disparities Lecture and Learn in fall 2018.

The SPHC is convened by the Center for Pre-Health Advising and joins us in carrying out our mission to increase equity and diversity in health care and to enhance awareness of health-related careers. SPHC is made up of student leaders from health-related student organizations who work closely CPHA in the work they do to achieve four related goals: to connect and strengthen relationships among students in their organizations, to cultivate awareness of CPHA resources, to plan and promote campus events that raise awareness about health inequities, and to provide UW pre-health students with professional development opportunities.

The Campus Pre-Health Committee (CPHC)

The CPHC is comprised of student services professionals across campus who work with pre-health students and admissions representatives from UW-Madison health professional programs. The goal of this committee is to connect these groups in order to ensure that we provide the latest and most consistent guidance and support for students who are pursuing health professions. The committee provides direct feedback to CPHA on new programming and resources and is a collaborative partner on programs to address issues affecting our students such as wellness and exploring health careers.
