According to the APhA, pharmacy is practiced in a wide range of settings: community pharmacies, hospitals, long term care facilities, the pharmaceutical industry, mail service, managed care, and government. Pharmacists are an increasingly important piece of the health care puzzle, as more pharmacists are counseling patients in planning therapy regiments. According to the Department of Labor, the job outlook for pharmacists is excellent.
